AFSC command chaplain welcomes 5th CCG to Space family

“It’s not every site visit that you start out on the athletic field; this is definitely a first for me,” said, Chaplain (Col.) Gregory Tate Air Force, Space Command’s command chaplain, as he was introduced to members of the 5th Combat Communications Group, while they were playing ‘Gatorball’, a 5th Mob favorite.

The chaplain’s first impression was that physical fitness is extremely important the MOB, was later confirmed when he met with the different squadrons, and randomly asked Airmen their physical fitness scores. But he wasn’t visiting the 689th Combat Communications Wing and the 5th CCG to check on their physical fitness, he was there to welcome the combat communications community into the AFSC family.
