When JUICE isn’t apple, orange, or grape

The 689th Combat Communications Wing is participating in the Joint User Interface Communications Exercise, or JUICE, June 7-25.

Combat comm Airmen from the 3rd Combat Communications Group, 5th CCG, 263rd Combat Communications Squadron, and 282nd CBCS are testing their equipment and processes. They have clearly defined goals.

“JUICE has been planned for over 7 months,” said Billy Keith, JUICE project officer. “We have three main goal areas: establish a time division multiple access network over Ku-band for Air Force Theater Deployable Communications units, implement Everything over Internet Protocol, the new Initial Communications Element version 3 networks at all sites, and participate in Unified Capabilities Tactical Spiral 1 Assured Service – Session Initiation Protocol test.”
