Optical Testing Using Portable Laser Coordinate Measuring Instruments

Abstract: High precision, portable coordinate measuring instruments (CMI) such as laser radars (LR) and laser trackers (LT) have been used for optical system alignment and integration. The LR’s ability to perform a non-contact scan of surfaces was previously utilized to characterize large spherical and aspheric mirrors.
