Gen. Kehler welcomes new Airmen
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Gen. C. Robert Kehler, Commander of Air Force Space Command, swears in more than 60 future Airmen on the race track at Daytona International Speedway July 3 prior to the start of NASCAR’s Coke-Zero 400 race. The 333rd Recruiting Squadron coordinated the event, which featured the driver of the
U.S. Air Force #19 car, Elliot Sadler, speaking to more than 120 active duty personnel and future Airmen who also unfurled a football-field-size American flag in celebration of Independence Day. The pre-race activities served as a tremendous lead up event for Air Force Week Cocoa Beach, which officially kicks off in late October. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Elizabeth Valentine)
