Europe’s Moon spacecraft arrives in French Guiana

Preparations for Arianespace’s next Ariane 5 mission began July 15 when the spacecraft for Europe’s first Moon mission arrived aboard a cargo airliner in French Guiana.

The European Space Agency’s SMART-1 spacecraft is part of a triple payload to be carried on Flight 162 when it lifts off from the Spaceport in late August.
