NASA satellite data is providing scientists and fire managers with unparalleled insight into how deadly fires behave, and how to fight them. NASA’s contribution to fire management is the topic of the next Earth Science Update (ESU). The ESU is Tuesday, July 22, at 3 p.m. EDT in NASA’s James Webb Auditorium, 300 E Street S.W., Washington.

The ESU will be carried live on NASA Television with two-way question-and-answer capability for reporters covering the event from participating agency centers. NASA TV is broadcast on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.
