Abstract: Communication is an important part of every airborne science mission. It provides a means for a large group of ground-based scientists to monitor and adjust experiments aboard aircraft that often cannot support a large number of passengers. In some cases, such as unmanned aircraft, communication becomes critical to a successful mission.
