As they marched down Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs, the cheers from the nearby crowds made the men and women of the 50th Space Wing march a little taller and with a little more pride in their hearts.
“The community support shown to our military gives us all an overwhelming sense of pride and we all appreciate those who attended and participated in this year’s parade,” said Col. Wayne Monteith, 50th Space Wing commander.
Five 32-person flights represented Team Schriever …three from the 50th Space Wing, led by Colonel Monteith, and two from the Space Innovation and Development Center, led by Col. Robert Wright, SIDC commander.
