Local rodeo tradition benefits AFSPC members

Members of the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Association presented checks to local military organizations including Air Force Space Command during a presentation ceremony held at the Penrose House, Nov. 12, 2009.

The rodeo, which took place July 8-11, garnered $2000 in donations for Headquarters AFSPC this year, and the funds were warmly accepted by Maj. Gen. Michael Basla, vice commander of Air Force Space Command.

“Since 1946, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Days has donated proceeds to charitable programs and services benefiting local military personnel and their families,” said Kevin Estrem, former AFSPC command chief and 2009 rodeo president.
