Bringing spacecraft to where scientists need to go

A peek behind the scenes highlighting the ‘makers and doers’ who fly ESA spacecraft. Teams operate complex, first-of-a-kind missions, developing and testing the systems needed to command them and managing the ground stations that communicate with them. We deliver world-class spacecraft operations services and infrastructure, fostering new technology, innovation and cutting-edge mission control techniques.

How we make a space mission
ESA is Europe’s space agency, enabling its 22 Member States to achieve results that no individual nation can match. ESA combines space mission development with supporting labs, test and operational facilities plus in-house experts covering every aspect of space, supported through the Agency’s Basic Activities.
