Cross walks are becoming a concern here on Peterson and a dangerous trend is developing. When an individual crosses a two-lane road in a crosswalk on base, the vehicle closest to the person crossing the roadway stops, but the vehicle in the other lane fails to stop, creating a hazardous situation.
When crossing streets in crosswalks, don’t assume vehicles will stop, make eye contact with the driver before proceeding across roadways.
