Air Force Space Command reinvigorates force development

Air Force Space Command recently encouraged its Airmen to “cross further into the blue” through a week-long force-development seminar called Vigilant Look.

The VL seminar, held at HQ AFSPC here Dec. 7 to 11, covered the mission, capabilities and career opportunities of AFSPC during a week-long orientation open to AFSPC junior captains, mid-level NCOs and civilians.

“Vigilant Look is part of a reinvigoration of force development,” said Scott Burrows, AFSPC chief of officer development. “It’s a seminar based on a simple, career-development concept: Gather the best and brightest officers, NCOs and civilians from across AFSC and provide a variety of briefings, tours and visits to give them a complete portrait of AFSPC missions and capabilities, and how they support Air Force contributions to overseas contingency operations and strategic deterrence.”
