Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) completes transition from Earth orbit phase to Lunar transfer orbit phase

 The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has concluded the Earth orbit phase for the Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM), launched onboard H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 47 (H-IIA F47) from the Tanegashima Space Center at 8:42:11 am on September 7, 2023 (Japan Standard Time, JST). The SLIM transitioned into the Lunar transfer orbit to head towards for the Moon after successfully changing orbit at 2:40 am on October 1, 2023 (JST).

 The SLIM’s status is currently normal.
