Implementation of the S-520-33 Sounding Rocket Experiment

: JAXA will conduct a demonstration experiment of advanced space engineering technologies for next-generation rockets and spacecraft. In this experiment, the sounding rocket will carry the following four devices:

 1. The “Reentry and recovery module with deployable Aeroshell Technology for Sounding rocket experiment – L” (RATS-L) which is an inflatable data collection system that can separate from the rocket, splash down, and be recovered.
 2. The “Inflatable Extensible Platform” (IEP) featuring a deployable and extendable structure.
 3. The “PI Data Collector” (PDC) that efficiently gathers data from experimental equipment.
 4. The “New Advanced NAvigation sensor” (NANA) which enables small-sized rockets to achieve high-precision navigation.
