Permanent Multipurpose Module installed on Unity node

At 10:05 a.m. EST, the Permanent Multipurpose Module (PMM) was anchored in place on the underside of the International Space Station’s Unity node. The PMM was carefully moved from space shuttle Discovery’s cargo bay to its permanent home by space station robotic arm operators Mike Barratt and Nicole Stott. Eric Boe and Cady Coleman engaged latches on the Common Berthing Mechanism to attach PMM to Unity.

At 11:30 a.m., NASA Television will air a Mission Status Briefing with David Korth, International Space Station Orbit 1 flight director, and Kenny Todd, space station Mission Integration and Operations Manager.
