The Intelsat New Dawn relay platform which is the first-ever African private sector communications satellite has been positioned atop Ariane 5s core cryogenic stage, placing it as the lower passenger for Arianespaces mission on March 30.
Intelsat New Dawn was developed to provide supply critical communications infrastructure for African customers, and will be launched along with Yahsat Y1A on another of Ariane 5s dual-payload flights.
