Capt. Eve O’Connor, Air Force Network Integration Center, Air Force Network Migration operations execution lead, stands in front of the Air Force Communication and Information Air Traffic Controller Timeline representing significant cyberspace milestones throughout history in the Lieutenant General Grant building on Scott Air Force Base, Ill. O’Connor guides technical teams in consolidating and migrating over 200 Air National Guard sites onto the Air Force Network, a single, centrally-managed network under the operational control of the 24th Air Force commander. O’Connor’s migration efforts for the Air National Guard improve enterprise security, reduce operational costs, and reduce vulnerability to attack. Most importantly, it improves warfighter access to data and information services regardless of location. This effort follows the active duty Air Force Network migration project completed in April 2014, which consolidated 646,000 e-mail accounts and 12,318 servers at 275 sites.
