ARIANE 5’S LIFTOFF IS SET FOR MAY 6 WITH HERSCHEL AND PLANCK

The completion of flightworthiness checks on the Herschel space telescope payload has enabled Arianespace to set May 6 as the date for its next Ariane 5 mission. This flight will carry Herschel and Planck – two European Space Agency-developed space science payloads that are designed to study the universe’s origins.
