Ten members of the 76th Space Control Squadron raised more than $850 toward a charity run/walk on Sept. 13 at Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs.
The team participated in the 15th annual Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure breast cancer awareness run and was organized by Master Sgt. Wanda Major-Barnett who knows all too well the trials faced by cancer patients.
“My mom was a breast cancer survivor,” said Sergeant Major-Barnett. “Without the support she was provided, her recovery may have been impaired.”
