On Oct. 16, Shareoint will become the default homepage for the 21st Space Wing, a move which will allow users to share information at a much faster pace.
“Sharepoint will essentially act as one giant command-wide server, where users can post spreadsheets, presentations, flyers and other documents and then send out a link to share them with others,” said Charles Springs, 21st SW enterprise information manager. “Documents can also be updated and changed in real time, so personnel can collaborate easily on projects without having to constantly e-mail back and forth. Permissions can be customized to fit a unit’s need for sensitive, but unclassified, data.”
