Airman sentenced at court-martial for cocaine use

A senior airman assigned to the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron was sentenced with a reduction to the grade of E-2, restriction to Vandenberg AFB for two months, and hard labor without confinement for three months, for the use of cocaine on two separate occasions at a general court-martial held here April 18-20, 2011.

Senior Airman Kyle Mull pled not guilty before a panel of officer and enlisted members to two wrongful uses of cocaine, both a violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Airman Mull’s misconduct was discovered when a urinalysis sample he provided tested positive for cocaine. A follow-up inspection was also conducted and Airman Mull’s urinalysis sample tested positive for cocaine a second time. The panel members found him guilty of both violations.
