NASA MARKS 45 YEARS OF EXPLORATION AND DISCOVERY

Immerse yourself in an interactive exploration of NASA’s greatest achievements and challenges, as we mark the agency’s 45th anniversary.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. EDT, NASA Television and NASA.gov (www.nasa.gov) take you on an exciting tour of the agency’s historic past and present, and we’ll give you a glimpse into the future of exploration. Plus, put your knowledge of NASA to the test with our multimedia trivia challenges.

On NASA’s 45th anniversary, Oct. 1, Administrator Sean O’Keefe hosts a special live television program from Washington, featuring Educator Astronaut Barbara Morgan and school students from across the area. The anniversary edition of NASA Update will look at the future of exploration as Administrator O’Keefe and Morgan share this landmark date with the next generation of explorers. The program airs on NASA Television Wednesday at 1 p.m.
