The second in command at United States Cyber Command saw firsthand what Air Forces Cyber brings to the fight during a visit here June 6.
United States Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Robert E. Schmidle, Jr., CYBERCOM deputy commander, visited from his headquarters at Ft. George G. Meade, Md., touring the 624th Operations Center, 23rd Information Operations Squadron, the 90th Information Operations Squadron and more during his time with the Air Force component of the command.
General Schmidle directs the forces and daily activities of CYBERCOM. As the deputy commander, he also coordinates the Department of Defense computer network attack and computer network defense missions.
