More than 200 Schriever personnel honored their fellow Airmen and civilian coworkers at the Team Schriever 2009 Annual Awards Banquet held at the Peterson AFB Club Feb. 12.
Airmen and civilians from units across the installation competed for awards at the wing and tenant levels for a chance to be named the best of Team Schriever during the “Battle of the Stars” themed event.
“To all of tonight’s nominees, you were given an opportunity and you took it and represent the best of your unit and this base,” said Col. Wayne Monteith, 50th Space Wing commander and host of the event. “These awards are stepping stones and represent an open door, so walk through it and go make a difference.”
