ESA’s Luca Parmitano from Italy will shortly be embarking upon a six-month mission to the International Space Station. He’ll be launched onboard a Soyuz spacecraft along with Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and NASA’s Karen Nyberg. In addition to performing experiments and general maintenance onboard the station, Luca has been assigned two spacewalks , for which he’s trained in the Neutral Buoyancy Lab at NASA’s Johnson Space Centre.
