Sew Much Comfort
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — Linda Trumble, vice-president of Sew Much Comfort, an organization that produces adaptived clothing for injured servicemembers, demonstrates how adaptive shirts help improve the lives of servicemembers recovering from injuries during a visit to Peterson AFB March 31. The shirt has been altered with Velcro sewn into the seams to allow patients and medical providers easy access to wounds and external medical devices. The clothing also allows patients to dress themselves with ease while recovering from injuries. Since its inception, Sew Much Comfort has shipped more than 75,000 articles of clothing to Walter Reed Army Medical Center and other military hospitals and recovery centers around the world.
