A Peterson Air Force Base Airman was killed Dec. 27 while conducting combat operations near Kabul, Afghanistan.
Capt. David I. Lyon, 21st Logistics Readiness Squadron, was killed when a vehicle-born improvised explosive device was detonated near his convoy.
