Seventeen women from Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases showed up to donate hair to Locks for Love Jan. 24 at the Peterson Chapel.
Tech. Sgt. Jenet Shaffner, 561st Network Operations Squadron, organized the “Give a Little, Give a Lock” event with the Paul Mitchell the School of Colorado Springs in order to give service members an opportunity to donate hair.
Locks For Love provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged individuals under the age of 21 in the United States and Canada who suffer from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
