Armed Forces Day was created in 1949 for citizens to come together and thank military members for their patriotic service in support of our country.
In conjunction with Armed Forces Day, the 21st Force Support Squadron is having its annual Armed Forces Community Run at 8 a.m. May 10. It’s a 5k or 10k run open to the public, and gives locals the opportunity to have a glimpse of Peterson Air Force Base.
“This is an annual event that bring family, friends, and local community together for a day filled with fun and entertainment,” said Roger Hill, 21st Force Support Squadron athletic director.
