The crew of space shuttle Discovery awoke at 12:21 a.m. EDT to the strains of “Joy” performed by the Newsboys. The song was selected for Pilot James P. Dutton Jr.
The crews of the shuttle and International Space Station are making preparations for Discovery to undock at 8:52 a.m. After initial spacecraft separation, Dutton will take control of Discovery for a fly-around of the station.
