Arianespace has signed a launch agreement with Hispasat to loft the Spanish operator’s Hispasat 1E satellite with an Ariane 5. It is the first contract signed by Arianespace this year. To be orbited in 2010, Hispasat 1E will provide additional capacity for Hispasat – enabling the Spanish operator to offer a broader range of video and data transmission services with European and pan-American coverage.
