Schriever fellowship members came together to partake in a group service project creating care bags for the homeless during a weekly meeting Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado.
Each bag was filled with basic necessities to include socks, washcloths, soap, space blankets, granola bars, water, combs and bandages.
“The purpose of the project was to provide a practical way of helping the folks standing on the street corners in town,” said Christy Sutton. “Rather than give them money, give them a homeless bag.”
