The 45th Space Wing supported NASA’s successful launch of Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 here March 22 at 11:05 p.m. ET.
The ULA Atlas V rocket is carrying Cygnus cargo vessel OA-6, a resupply mission to the International Space Station supporting NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services program. Orbital ATK’s sixth contracted cargo resupply mission to the ISS will deliver more than 7,000 pounds of science and research, crew supplies and vehicle hardware to the orbital laboratory and its crew.
