Following the activation of the Copernicus Emergency Mapping Service on 22 May 2016, data from Sentinel-1A’s radar scan on 23 May were made available to the service in rush mode. The data were then used to create this map of Barguna showing over 85 000 hectares of flooded areas in light blue.
