The sea-going MN Toucan ship has delivered an Ariane 5 to French Guiana that will be launched in April with Europe’s Herschel and Planck space science payloads. Herschel will be the largest space telescope of its kind ever lofted, while Planck will analyze radiation remnants that filled the universe immediately after the Big Bang.
