The countdown has resumed and there are no further holds planned as NASA awaits liftoff of space shuttle Atlantis at 2:20 p.m. EDT. Launch managers have given their approval to proceed with the countdown. The automated Ground Launch Sequencer has taken control of the countdown from this point forward.
Atlantis’ six astronauts all are strapped into their seats inside the crew module, the external tank is fully loaded with liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, and weather has improved to 90 percent “go.”
