Day 3 of Guardian Challenge 2010 saw the Space and Missile Systems Center’s 61st Security Forces Squadron team members practice on the Academy’s obstacle course in preparation for the final portion of the security forces competition.
Team members participating in this event are Department of Defense Officer Steven Haymes, Tech. Sgts. Leslee Williams and Rochanapan Silpe, and Staff Sgt. Alex Andriyanov.
The course, designed to evaluate competitors’ physical fitness and agility, features 17 physically-challenging obstacles. Competitors have to climb walls, crawl on the ground, as well as jump and swing over water hazards, all within a time limit. Two team members go through the course together. Each four-member team is alloted about an hour to complete the course.
