The Los Angeles Air Force Base Company Grade Officers Council recently won the Best CGOC of the Year Award for the Western Region during the Air Force CGOC Conference held in May. The council was recognized here during the Monthly Recognition and Promotion Ceremony at the Gordon Conference Center, Aug 31. Accepting the award on behalf of the organization was 1st Lt. Brian Dougal, the current CGOC Treasurer.
The organization was also named as the runner up for the Best CGOC in the Air Force. The award was based on the council’s superior achievements in five categories – professional development, community and base support, council improvement, fundraising and social.
