Extended Bright Bodies – Flight and Ground Software Challenges on the Cassini Mission at Saturn

Abstract: Extended bright bodies in the Saturn environment such as Saturn’s rings, the planet itself, and Saturn’s satellites near the Cassini spacecraft may interfere with the star tracker’s ability to find stars.
