Large-Scale Traveling Weather Systems in Mars Southern Extratropics

Abstract: Between late fall and early spring, Mars’ middle- and high-latitude atmosphere supports strong mean equator-to-pole temperature contrasts and an accompanying mean westerly polar vortex.
