Space Logistics Group passes compliance inspection

The Space Logistics Group, a subordinate unit of the Space and Missile Systems Center, received an overall grade of “IN COMPLIANCE WITH COMMENTS” on a Compliance Inspection (CI) conducted Aug. 16-23. This was the first time the group had undergone a CI.

CIs are conducted to assess areas mandated by law, as well as mission areas identified by senior Air Force and MAJCOM leadership, as critical or important to assess and assure the health and performance of organizations.

Approximately 25 Air Force Space Command inspectors conducted the eight-day evaluation assessing the group’s ability to sustain and maintain worldwide Air Force and DoD space weapon systems to include terrestrial and space weather, Global Positioning Systems, launch and range control, satellite command and control, secure satellite communications, and missiles early warning systems. Areas evaluated included all applicable functions of the group.
