Abstract: The NASA Space Network (SN) Operations began with the launch of the first Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS-1) on April 4, 1983 with on-orbit operations conducted from the White Sands Ground Terminal (WSGT) in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
