Abstract: From April to May 2017, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Armstrong Flight Research Center completed a series of flights with a trail C-20A airplane surfing in the wake of a Gulfstream III airplane using a commercially available datalink as the primary communication between the two aircraft.
