Abstract: Rotor wake dispersion in a low-speed, one and half stage axial compressor is investigated in detail with a Large Eddy Simulation (LES). The primary focus is to quantify the total pressure recovery due to wake stretching and the total pressure loss from the rotor wake interaction with the stator blade boundary layer.
