Abstract: Calculations for ice accretion and shedding are presented for a model scale rotor in hover. The aerodynamic characteristics of the rotor are first computed using a combined blade element-momentum theory. The effective angles of attack, and the local flow velocity are used within the NASA Glenn solver LEWICE to estimate the collection efficiency.
