Abstract: The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) is a key sensor carried on the newly launched (November 18, 2017) Joint Polar Satellite System-1 (JPSS-1), now transitioned to NOAA-20, and the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) satellite.
