MARYLAND SCIENCE CENTER HOSTS MAJOR NASA ANNOUNCEMENT

Media representatives are invited to join NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe for a major announcement Thursday, 2 p.m. EST, at the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore.

U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, astronauts Scott Kelly and Barbara Morgan will join Administrator O’Keefe.

NASA Television will broadcast the event live from the facility’s SpaceLink space science and astronomy update center, which is located at 601 Light Street.

The Maryland Science Center’s mission is to stimulate and cultivate awareness, interest, and understanding of science through educational programs and exhibits, to be a regional resource, and a national model for science education.

NASA Television is available on GE-2, Transponder 9C, at 85 degrees West longitude, vertical polarization, with a frequency of 3880 MHz and audio of 6.8 MHz.
