Abstract: NASA’s UTM project is conducting research on a traffic management concept for small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) flying in low altitude, uncontrolled airspace. The project started in 2015 and is developing prototype UTM systems of successively complex technical capability levels (TCL) that are tested in the field.
