Study advances single-cell transcriptome profiling

With the goal of ensuring that single-cell RNA sequencing makes use of the best possible methods, an international group has benchmarked 13 methods. The group, led by Holger Heyn of the Centro Nacional de AnĂ¡lisis GenĂ³mico (CNAG-CRG) in Spain, found that the Quartz-seq2 method, developed by a team in the RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research, was overall the best method developed to sequence single-cell RNA. The research was published in Nature Biotechnology.
