The animation illustrates the Copernicus Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich liftoff on Falcon 9 from the Vandenberg launch site in California, US. Famously, Falcon 9 is partially reusable – unlike most rockets which are expendable launch systems. Falcon 9’s first stage is capable of re-entering the atmosphere and landing vertically after separating from the rocket’s second stage.
